Everything you need to know

Product Description

The Hogies Magnetic Loupe Nose Bridge allows you to change or replace the bridge profile on your existing Hogies loupe system without tools or frame modification. Getting the bridge profile right removes the most common source of loupe discomfort and optical misalignment, and allows clinicians with different facial profiles to share the same loupe system.

    Key Benefits

Resolves nose discomfort, optical misalignment or an unstable loupe fit

Four bridge profiles available to suit different facial structures, ensuring the optical system sits correctly regardless of face shape

Magnetic fitting integrates securely into the complete range of Hogies loupe frame systems

Simple to swap without tools or modification to the frame

    Who It's For

Clinicians who want to try a different bridge profile after purchase, or who need to replace a bridge on their existing Hogies loupe system.

Every Hogies loupe system is supplied with the correct bridge for your facial profile at the time of ordering. This product is for clinicians whose fit requirements have changed, who want to explore a different profile, or who need a replacement.

Compatible with every Hogies loupe system in the range.

    Fit & Comfort

    Standard Western Bridge
The most suitable bridge for Western facial profiles and nose types. Designed to distribute the weight of the loupe system across the maximum nose surface area for stable, comfortable extended wear.

    Modified Asian Bridge
The recommended bridge of first choice for most Asian facial profiles. It provides a balance between weight distribution and projection, which determines the distance between the eyes and the loupe on the clinician's face. If the protective shield or prescription lens is making contact with the cheeks, more projection is required and this profile should be considered. If there is a large gap between the prescription lens or protective shield and the face, a bridge profile with less projection such as the Standard Western should be considered instead.

    Half-Moon Asian Bridge
Suited to Asian nasal features where the eyebrows are typically located substantially higher than the upper eyelid. The magnetic bridge plate is positioned at its highest point, furthest from the nose pad. This profile can also be used by clinicians who prefer to wear their own prescription spectacles rather than a prescription lens insert. In this configuration the protective shield cannot be used, and the bridge fitting may be positioned either in front of or behind the clinician's own spectacles.

    Mediterranean Bridge
Designed for clinicians with more generous nasal features. The Mediterranean profile uses a shorter indexed plate, with the magnetic bridge plate positioned at its lowest point, closest to the nose pad. This allows the frame to sit adjacent to the eyebrows where needed.

    Additional Information

    Choosing the right bridge

If you are unsure which bridge profile is right for your facial structure, contact Hogies before ordering. If you are replacing an existing bridge, the same profile is generally the correct choice unless fit issues have been experienced. If discomfort or misalignment has developed over time, a different profile may be worth exploring. Contact Hogies for guidance before purchasing.
