No, they have never slipped. Even when I've got my head down over the ball, they're perfect.
Harry, a +1 golfer (wearing Adult size)
6-month warranty. 30-day returns.
Two fits for different nose bridges, so the frame stays where you put it. The lens sits off your cheeks, so air circulates as you warm up, and there is a tint for every tee time.

Real Hogies customers, in their own words.
No, they have never slipped. Even when I've got my head down over the ball, they're perfect.

The brown tinted ones are my favourite. They help me distinguish the different parts of the green.
Sarah, golfer (wearing Adult size)
I do not notice I am wearing them. Really great.

Choose the tint for the light you play in most. Every tint comes in both fits.
Adds contrast and definition, which helps you pick out the ball against the sky and read changes across the green.
Sharpens detail for tracking the ball without heavily darkening your view.
Cuts brightness evenly while keeping colours natural.
Increases contrast in dull light while keeping colours fairly natural. Not made for midday sun.
EyeGuard Sports comes in two fits for different nose bridges. One suits a lower nose bridge and higher cheekbones and holds the frame higher. The other suits a higher nose bridge. Neither is the default, and both are the same price. Our nose bridge guide shows how to tell which suits you.
If the lens touches your cheeks when you first try the glasses on, squeeze the bridge once. A metal insert holds the new position.
The lens sits off your cheeks, so as your body heats up, air circulates behind it. At 26 grams, Adult is light enough to forget about immediately.
All EyeGuard Sports lenses are UV400, whatever the tint. UV protection and glare control are separate jobs.
Our grey lenses are 85% density and our brown lenses are 65% density, so you can choose how much light comes through for the day you play. Some golfers like the Grey Revo Mirror (Adult size) for extra glare reduction.
Polarised lenses alter depth perception. A polarising filter cuts reflected light, and on a green, some of that reflected light is the sheen that shows you which way the grain runs.
"I wear prescription glasses, so I used to play golf with my prescription sunglasses. Which, look it was okay, but they slipped and they fogged. So needless to say, I found the answer." Sarah, golfer
EyeGuard Sports is not designed to go over prescription glasses. The EyeGuard RX Prescription Insert is a lightweight, rimless insert that clips into the frame.
Compatible with both sizes, in both fits.
Reference lenses are included for your optometrist, or Hogies can organise the prescription lenses for you.
Brown adds contrast and definition, which helps you pick out the ball against the sky and read changes across the green. In overcast or flat light, vermillion sharpens detail for tracking the ball without heavily darkening your view. Grey cuts brightness evenly on very bright days, and Sodium Yellow suits early, late and dull light, not midday sun.
They are two fits for different nose bridges. Low Bridge (Asian) Fit suits a low nose bridge and higher cheekbones and holds the frame higher so the lens stays off your cheeks. Regular Fit suits a higher nose bridge. Neither is the default, and both are the same price. Our nose bridge guide shows how to tell which suits you.
Put the glasses on, look down sharply as if at a ball at your feet and do not touch the frame. If the frame moves, the size or the bridge is wrong. If the lens touches your cheeks when you first try them on, squeeze the bridge once and the metal insert holds the new position.
Most adults wear Adult, which is 139mm temple to temple and 26 grams. Kids is 130mm and 24 grams, for junior golfers and smaller facial profiles. Large Adult is 150mm and 31 grams, for very wide heads only. The size guide walks through the measurements.
EyeGuard Sports is not designed to go over prescription glasses. The EyeGuard RX Prescription Insert clips into the frame, so your own prescription sits inside your sports glasses. It fits Adult and Large Adult, in both fits. Reference lenses are included for your optometrist, or Hogies can organise the prescription lenses for you.
No, and that is deliberate. Polarised lenses alter depth perception, and a polarising filter cuts reflected light. On a green, some of that reflected light is the sheen that shows you which way the grain runs. All EyeGuard Sports lenses are UV400.
EyeGuard Sports carries a 6-month warranty against manufacturing faults. Change of mind returns are accepted within 30 days of receipt, unused and in the condition you received them.
EyeGuard Sports is $44 in Adult, Kids and Large Adult, in every tint, with $5.50 standard shipping in Australia.
Who's behind this
My dad, Martin, started his optical practice, Martin X Hogan Pty Ltd, in Melbourne in the 1960s. He designed anti-glare eyewear that NASA's own astronauts wore on Apollo 12 and Apollo 15.
I joined the family business in the late 1980s, and I've carried that same standard forward ever since, through dental clinics and into sport. EyeGuard Sports carries it too: two fits for different nose bridges, made to stay where you put them.
